Zovu’s script is a phonetic writing system – each symbol represents a speech sound. Specifically the writing system known as an Abjad – an alphabetic writing system where each symbol represents a consonant.

Each of the four domains (wave, matter, cosmos, and spirit) is represented by a Platonic solid – a 3-dimensional polyhedral – and has a set of symbols based on its 2-dimensional projection. Each domain’s platonic solid and projection are as follows –

Vowels are displayed as marks on or near their preceding consonant. Their either placed above (for nouns and verbs) or below (for adjectives and adverbs) the consonant. If there are multiple vowels following a consonant (when element roots of the same domain combine), they are written top-to-bottom or right-to-left depending on the style preference –
